Privacy Policy

Effective September 28, 2026

ReadFaster does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app never connects to the internet.

Who this covers

This policy covers ReadFaster for Mac, made by Aditya Kumar ("I", "me"). It applies to every version of the app.

What the app stores, and where

To work as a reader, ReadFaster keeps a few things on your Mac, inside the app's own private storage:

All of this stays on your Mac. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else. The app runs in Apple's App Sandbox without permission to use the network, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

What I collect

Nothing. I don't receive your documents, your reading history, your settings or any information about you or your device.

Crash reports from Apple

If you have turned on "Share with app developers" in your Mac's Analytics settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics with me through App Store Connect. These contain no documents or personal content. This is controlled entirely by your macOS settings and covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Deleting your data

To remove a single document and its reading progress, right-click it in the library and choose Remove from Library. To remove everything, delete ReadFaster and then this folder:

~/Library/Containers/com.adityakumar.ReadFaster

Children

ReadFaster collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever starts collecting data, this policy will change before that happens.
