UP Bus Radar

Short version: UP Bus Radar does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and no analytics. The app shows publicly available UPSRTC bus GPS positions and nothing about you.

●Information we collect

None. UP Bus Radar does not ask for, collect, or transmit any personal or device information. Specifically, the app:

• has no sign-up, login, or user accounts;
• accesses your location only if you tap “Locate”, and only to centre the map on you — it is never stored, logged, or shared. It does not access contacts, photos, or microphone;
• contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs;
• does not use cookies or device identifiers (no IDFA).

●Location (optional)

UP Bus Radar works fully without your location. If you tap the Locate button, the app asks for permission and uses your position only to centre the map on you, so you can spot buses nearby. Your location is used live on your device and is never collected, stored, logged, or sent anywhere. You can turn it off any time in iOS Settings.

●Where the bus data comes from

The live bus positions shown in the app come from a publicly accessible UPSRTC vehicle-tracking feed (Margdarshi). This data describes buses, not people, and is fetched anonymously. UP Bus Radar is an independent, unofficial app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by UPSRTC.

●Information stored on your device

The only thing the app saves is a small on-device setting that remembers whether you have seen the welcome screen. This stays in the app's local storage on your iPhone, is never transmitted anywhere, and is removed if you delete the app.

●Maps

Maps are provided by Apple MapKit. When the map is displayed, Apple may process map requests in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. UP Bus Radar does not receive any personal information from this.

●Children's privacy

UP Bus Radar does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

●Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
